ADDICTIONS AWARENESS: EARLY CAREERS
Aimed at apprentices or young people and delivered over two half days, these sessions are designed to give more time to learning and include interactive activities.
CADAS Workplace acknowledges that early career cohorts are a more vulnerable part of the workforce, who have been woefully served in terms of good quality drug/alcohol education at school in recent years.
They are likely to be more vulnerable to harm based on their age, genetic predilection for risk taking behaviour at a time where they will be increasing their disposable income and having less supervision from family members.

An ideal follow-on session from ‘Addictions Awareness’
Aimed at members of your workforce who will have substantial contact with dependent employees, providing co-ordinated care and support. These sessions are for those who need sound HR knowledge and good interpersonal skills to support vulnerable colleagues.

ADDICTION CHAMPIONS: VETTING
Aimed at members of staff specifically responsible for security and vetting, these sessions are for those who need sound HR knowledge and good interpersonal skills to support vulnerable colleagues.
The emphasis with this training is on gambling and the link between drug debt, gambling debt and illegal money lending, plus links to County Lines and organised crime.

VOLATILE SUBSTANCE USE
This training is designed to raise awareness about inhaling
substances like glue, aerosols, nitrous oxide, and butane gas.
This is a form of substance abuse that is highly hidden and
kills an average of 44 people per year in the UK.
It is prevalent across all ages, particularly young people as
they can easily access these household substances.
It is practiced by adults across all socio-economic groups,
reaching 57,000 in 2021 and as living costs rise, it is likely
there will be a increase in volatile substance use.
